The Senior Life Solutions program at Mitchell County Regional Health Center (MCRHC) has earned national recognition for its strong, supportive culture. Psychiatric Medical Care (PMC),which oversees the program, named it the 2024 Training Site of the Year.
Each year, PMC honors top-performing employees and programs that exemplify its core values of care, compliance, and community. Award recipients are selected for their excellence in patient care, adherence to compliance standards, and strong community engagement.
“Our training immerses participants in our office culture while introducing new ways to improve processes,” said Jessica Perry, Senior Life Solutions program director at MCRHC. “This experience helps them return to their hospitals with the knowledge and confidence to launch or grow their own Senior Life Solutions programs.”
Over the winter, the program has trained 10 individuals, with about 30 trainees expected to visit Osage throughout the year.
“People travel from across the country to train here,” Perry said. “We’ve had participants from the Midwest and as far away as Maine. They typically spend a week on-site for training.”
About Senior Life Solutions
The Senior Life Solutions program is dedicated to supporting individuals—typically 65 and older—who are experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, or other mental health challenges often associated with aging.
The program’s professional team includes a board-certified psychiatrist, nurse practitioner, licensed therapist, registered nurse, and other specialists, ensuring comprehensive, high-quality care for each patient.
Referrals to the program can be made by family members, friends, community members, physicians, self-referrals, or other healthcare professionals.

We are currently accepting nominations year-round. The 2025 DAISY award will be announced during Nurses Week in early May.
Mitchell County Regional Health Center is proud to honor its outstanding nurses with the DAISY Award — an international program that celebrates skilled, compassionate nurses who provide care to patients and families every day.
The DAISY (Diseases Attacking the Immune System) Award was established in memory of J. Patrick Barnes, who died at 33 of an autoimmune disease. The Barnes family was awestruck by the clinical skills and compassion of the nurses who cared for Patrick, so they created this award to say thank-you to nurses everywhere.
