Sleep Medicine/Sleep Lab

Get Better Sleep

If you’ve been having trouble getting a good night’s rest, it may be time to consider seeking professional help. At the MCRHC sleep lab, we provide a range of services designed to help you improve your sleep quality and address any underlying sleep disorders.

Sleep Studies: Our sleep studies are one of the primary services we offer at our sleep lab. During a sleep study, we monitor your brain waves, eye movements, heart rate, and breathing while you sleep. This helps us diagnose any potential sleep disorders, such as sleep apnea or restless leg syndrome. Our sleep studies are non-invasive, meaning there are no needles or painful procedures involved.

Treatment Plans: Once we’ve diagnosed any sleep disorders you may have, our team will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan. Depending on your specific needs, this may include lifestyle changes, such as improving your sleep hygiene, or using a CPAP machine to help with breathing during sleep. We’ll also provide ongoing support to ensure your treatment plan is effective and sustainable.

Comfortable Environment: We understand that being away from home and sleeping in an unfamiliar environment can be challenging. That’s why we’ve designed our sleep lab to be as comfortable and welcoming as possible. Our private rooms are equipped with comfortable beds, linens, and pillows to help you feel at home. We also provide amenities such as Wi-Fi, cable TV, and private bathrooms to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

Expert Staff: Our team of sleep specialists has years of experience working with patients of all ages and backgrounds and are dedicated to providing you with the best possible care. You can rest assured that you’ll be in good hands during your time at our sleep lab.

Don’t suffer through another restless night – contact us today to learn more about how we can help you get the rest you need to live your best life.

Cataract surgery is an operation to remove your eye’s lens when it is cloudy.

The purpose of your lens is to bend (refract) light rays that come into the eye to help you see. Your own lens should be clear, but with a cataract it is cloudy. Having a cataract can be like looking through a foggy or dusty car windshield. Things may look blurry, hazy, or less colorful.

The only way to remove a cataract is with surgery. Your ophthalmologist will recommend removing a cataract when it keeps you from doing things you want or need to do.

During cataract surgery, your cloudy natural lens is removed and replaced with a clear artificial lens. That lens is called an intraocular lens (IOL). Your ophthalmologist will talk with you about IOLs and how they work.

MCRHC has been recognized as a Top 100 Critical Access Hospital by the Chartis Center for Rural Health. This is the fourth time MCRHC has received this national honor.

Awarded honorees are determined by the results of iVantage Health Analytics’ Hospital Strength INDEX®. To determine the 2024 list, the Chartis Center used the Hospital Strength Index, which assesses performance in eight areas: inpatient market share, outpatient market share, quality, outcomes, patient perspective, cost, charges, and financial efficiency.

Hospitals recognized as a Top 100 facility had one of the 100 highest overall scores among all rural and community and critical access hospitals nationally. There is no application process and recognition is solely based on performance data.

MCRHC previously received Top 100 honors in 2018, 2019 and 2023.
