Price Transparency

We support price transparency. For our patients to understand their potential financial liability for hospital services, we are making our hospital charges available to patients. Hospital charges vary based on the type of care provided. The price can differ from patient to patient for the same services. The price will be different for complications or different treatment for the patient’s personal health condition.

Patient Financial Services

Patients also may qualify for financial assistance. Please contact the Patient Financial Services Department at 641-732-6121 or via email at mc43mcrmcpfs@mercyhealth.com for a price estimate or to find out if you qualify for financial assistance.

We are currently accepting nominations year-round. The 2025 DAISY award will be announced during Nurses Week in early May.

Mitchell County Regional Health Center is proud to honor its outstanding nurses with the DAISY Award — an international program that celebrates skilled, compassionate nurses who provide care to patients and families every day.

The DAISY (Diseases Attacking the Immune System) Award was established in memory of J. Patrick Barnes, who died at 33 of an autoimmune disease. The Barnes family was awestruck by the clinical skills and compassion of the nurses who cared for Patrick, so they created this award to say thank-you to nurses everywhere.

DAISY Award Recipients:

NOMINATE A NURSE FOR THE 2025 DAISY AWARD

Anyone can nominate a nurse — patients, family members, visitors, physicians, staff members and volunteers — by sharing a story of the outstanding care the nurse provided.

The DAISY Award committee selects one nurse who exemplifies the following characteristics:

  • Established a special connection with a patient/family
  • Has significantly made a difference in the life of a patient
  • Shows empathy in all situations
  • Is an outstanding role model for the nursing profession
  • Generates enthusiasm and energy towards meeting the challenges of nursing
  • Consistently exhibits excellent interpersonal skills
  • Exemplifies the essence of professional nursing in all activities

The DAISY Award recipient will be recognized at a public ceremony and will receive a DAISY Award certificate, a DAISY Award lapel pin and a hand-carved stone sculpture titled A Healer’s Touch.
