Lang earns inaugural ROSE Award

With a sunny outlook and diligent dedication to her work, Trisha Lang is a trusted and uplifting presence at Mitchell County Regional Health Center. On Tuesday, Aug. 12, she was named the first recipient of MCRHC’s ROSE Award, which recognizes non-nursing and non-provider staff for outstanding service and dedication to the organization’s mission.

Lang works in Environmental Services in Osage, a department central to infection control and patient safety. Her daily responsibilities, which include disinfecting rooms and maintaining clean spaces, are carried out with care, consistency and compassion. In the Emergency Room, she plays a vital role in creating a calm, sanitary environment where patients and staff can feel safe and supported. No matter what she is tasked with, she always goes about her craft with a smile and love for others.

“Trisha represents the heart of MCRHC,” said Shelly Russell, CEO of Mitchell County Regional Health Center. “We’re proud to recognize her with our first ROSE Award.”

Staff and patients were invited to submit nominations for the 2025 Recognition of Service Excellence (ROSE) Award. Lang received multiple nominations, each highlighting her warmth, attention to detail, and genuine interest in others.

“She goes beyond her duties to ensure our facility is in top shape,” one nominator wrote. “Her work never goes unnoticed.”

Her trademark well wishes and servant’s heart are known throughout the hospital and clinic. “She remembers details about people’s lives and is genuinely curious about how they are doing,” another nominator shared. “When she asks how you are, she stops to listen.”

Sponsored by the MCRHC Auxiliary, the ROSE Award celebrates employees who embody the organization’s core values: compassion, collaboration, curiosity and integrity.
