At Mitchell County Regional Health Center, we offer Vascular Screenings Monday – Friday every week of the year. A copy of the results can be sent to your primary health care provider. However, you do not need a referral to make an appointment.

Carotid Artery/Stroke Screening
This test scans the carotid arteries in the neck for plaque buildup which leads to stroke - one of the most preventable of all life-threatening health problems.
Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening
This screens for the existence of an aneurysm in the abdominal aorta. The vast majority of people who have an aneurysm have no symptoms.
Peripheral Arterial Disease Screening
This screens for peripheral arterial disease (plaque buildup) in the lower extremities which is linked to coronary artery disease.
$30 for each screening or $90 for all three.
While you are here, get a FREE osteoporosis screening heel scan. Whether or not you are at risk for osteoporosis, a heel scan will give you an idea of how much bone loss you have experienced.
